About

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was started in 2014. It offers a broad and flexible degree program with the curriculum specifically designed to reflect the depth and breadth of computer science. The Department CSE administers Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) programs. CSE department is also staring the masters programs (M.Tech) in engineering. The course structure is up-to-date and includes courses on nascent topics to equip our students with the latest developments. The faculty members have been continuously associated with research work and have published a fairly good number of research papers in International and National Conferences and journals. The department has facilities for project and research work. The department is expecting research projects from some reputed research funding agencies of country.

Admission Procedure in B.Tech.
  • Admission to First Year M. P. Quota candidates is done by M.P. State level Counselling conducted by DTE, Bhopal.Distribution of seats is done as per MP Govt./DTE norms.
  • The admission to First Year (B.S.F./CAPFs Wards candidates) is done on the basis of marks obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) which is conducted by JEE Apex Board, Government of India. B.S.F./CAPFs Wards Candidates should be the Sons/Daughters of serving/retired/deceased on duty BSF/CRPF/ITBP/CISF/SSB/MP Police personnel.
  • Admission to “Second Year Lateral Entry “(M.P. Quota & B.S.F./CAPFs Wards candidates) is done through Counselling conducted by DTE, Bhopal.
  • All the eligibilities and qualifications fixed by State Government are applicable.

Facilities

Smart Classes

All the classes in the department of CSE and IT are equipped with latest technology for teaching and learning methodology. The new revolutionary program in education system is Smart Classes that has changed the concept of learning (classroom teaching). Its an innovative technology that has aimed to revolutionise the way teachers teach and students learn in class. Obviously, this methodology has proved beneficial for the students.



Internet

National Knowledge Network (NKN) Lab provides 1GBPS internet connectivity to the department. In future it is proposed to upgrade upto 10 GBPS. Computer Multimedia (CM) lab is fully Wi-Fi lab with upgraded Hardware and Software to provide Wireless internet connectivity. Reliance Gio Net is additional internet facility in department to access Hi-Speed wireless internet connectivity on your personal Gadgets.



Student Clubs

Departmental Club “RJIT GEEK” is established to develop Advance Programming skills to the students of CSE and IT. Students from GEEK have an excellent victory record in Programming context and Quiz on National and International level. Recently, Students are qualified in ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest which is considered as the “Olympics of Programming Competitions”. It is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world. Another Club “Neev” is established to transform the students into true Professional by improving their Communication skills, Aptitude, Reasoning, Group Discussion, Personal Interview for the placement in top Industry and PSUs.

Laboratories

Department of Computer Science & Engineering have 04 Computer laboratories to enhance the practical learning through experiments. Each lab is equipped with 30 computers of latest hardware configuration. Each lab is connected with high-speed internet. Computer Programming lab is specially dedicated to the Final year students for their Minor and Major Project work, Whereas Computer Hardware and Networking lab is established for the purpose of advance learning of computer hardware and networking peripherals like RAM, Hard Disk, CD-DVD drives, various type of Cables, Connectors, Switches etc. It has modern practical equipment like Networking Kit to implement various network topologies, protocols and other practical. Cloud Computing Lab and IoT lab has various equipments for practical of IoT.

Achievements

  1. All teachers of departments get SRIJAN Award of Excellent Teachers every year.
  2. The department scores 100% result in Final Year every year. Every student score First Division in the department.
  3. The department has highest placement in Institute.
  4. Amit Shukla selected as Power Programmer by Infosys on package of 9.5LPA.
  5. Abhishek Jain selected by TCS on package of 6.5LPA.
  6. More than 80% students of got placed in various Campus Drives.
  7. The department represents Gwalior in Microsoft Student Partner Program every year. Ms. Kamna Chaudhary Mr. Abhishek Jain in 2019 and Mr. Rohan Dhupar in 2018 and 2017 selected as Microsoft Student Partner for the region. Only 4-5 students got selected every year from a region by Microsoft to be MSP.
  8. Mr Ayush Sharma from CSE dept. selected as Dean of School of AI for Gwalior Chapter.
  9. Rohan Dhupar from CSE dept. achieved 132nd rank among 81000 data Scientists around the world at Kaggle.
  10. Rohan Dhupar delivered Expert Lecture on Data Science and Machine Learning in various renowned Institutes like IIMs, NITs.
  11. A group of students from the CSE Department created a Start-up by the name “KetchupHub”, a food pre ordering service provider App and has been working in Gwalior area since Sep. 2018.
  12. A Group of students from the department qualified for Facebook Hacker Cup 2018, an International programming contest organized by Facebook.
  13. Neha Kumari from CSE dept. received Pytorch AI Challenge Scholarship from Facebook.
  14. Harsh Shrivatava has completed internship on Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence at the National University of Singapore.
  15. Ankesh Gautam completed internship at Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Bangalore.
  16. Himanshu Bhatt successfully completed CCNA certification.
  17. Ms. Nikita Singh won the Silver Medal in Badminton in 2nd Student Olympic Asian Games 2019-20.
