Established in 1999, the Department of Civil Engineering at Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT) is dedicated to shaping skilled engineers capable of designing and constructing sustainable infrastructure. The department offers a robust curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with practical applications in structural engineering, transportation, and environmental engineering.

Vision

To impart strong foundational knowledge in Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, fostering analytical thinking, practical skills, and professional ethics among first-year engineering students, and to prepare them for higher studies, multidisciplinary engineering practice, and societal development.

Mission

To provide quality education in Basic Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics through effective teaching–learning processes integrating theory and practical exposure.
To develop fundamental understanding and problem-solving abilities in areas of building materials, surveying, and engineering mechanics using laboratory work, field exercises, and demonstrations.
To inculcate engineering ethics, teamwork, safety awareness, and sustainability concepts essential for responsible engineering practice
To encourage the use of modern tools, experiential learning, and continuous assessment for enhancing conceptual clarity and lifelong learning skills among first-year students.
